In what appears to be purely a case of "sour grapes", David Shimokawa , the principal of the former Drift Promoter at HRP "Drift Session", has filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against the new Drift Promoter "Punishum Drift Series".

Recall that last year, this same company "Drift Session" sent in correspondence to the Aloha Stadium Authority, in an effort to prevent Drifting Events from being held there. The motivation again being "sour grapes", because the "Drift Session" proposal was denied.

This along with testimony sent to the Honolulu City Council AGAINST the efforts to reopen HRP, by OMAC representatives, proves that the OMAC group's only goal is to block all racing events on Oahu that they are not in control of.

How does protecting a name prove that? SORT has been against Parcel 9.

Don't know exactly what you mean by "protecting a name". If there were any copyright infringements against D-1, the Hawaii Better Business Bureau is certainly not the venue to hear the case. And why would "Drift Session" be concerned with D-1 copyrights in the first place?

And for the record, SORT was not against Parcel 9. SORT was against the $50 million dollar tax credits - public money going into a private project in order to make 2 guys rich. Sort of like acquiring the lease to HRP without bid as a political favor, and then selling it for $5 million dollars. The leaseholders get rich, and the Oahu public gets screwed. Same M.O. (modus operandi).

also, a tax credit is not using ANY public money EVER. money not paid in taxes with or without a track wouldnt matter cause they still wouldnt be getting it. SORT on the other hand is the ONLY GROUP that EVER asked for tax payer money to be spent. and you can see how well thats going over.. its not..

A tax credit IS using public money, and putting it into a few private pockets. The SORT plans was not to use taxpayer money, as lease rent would be paid to the government entity that purchases the track.

One of the reasons it's not "going over" at the City Hall is because of the Oakland/Enomoto/OMAC group's negative testimony. A few greedy idiots ruining it for all the racers.

you are an idiot. the tax payers have to PURCHASE the track first in sorts plan. thats using public money!

a tax credit costs nothing out of pocket, nor does it cost anything period. its just TAXES that dont have to be paid after income is being made. the state isnt out any money it wasnt going to get already.

You are the idiot. A tax credit allows taxpayers who invest to not pay taxes in those amounts. It's a shell game. The track gets built with STATE money. It costs the "investors" nothing, because they would have had to pay the money in taxes anyway. STATE money going into private ownership. If the public is going to pay for it, then the public should own it.

SORT's plan is to purchase the track with public bond issues. That's the way government pays for things dummy. If the track generates lease rent to pay back the bond issues, who needs taxpayer money?

prk247
09-28-2007, 09:21 PM
that why they had that clause in the bill that only allowed the tax credit to be redeemed after the place was generating income in the form of taxes to the state.

It seems as though these tax bills were to be the catalyst for the racing facility on Parcel 9. Therefore, being against the tax bills is being against Parcel 9. Which I pointed out in my previous post.

It seems as though Oakland was saying he was going to move the HRP facility to Parcel 9 even after the tax bills failed. What happened to that line of BS? Which goes to prove my point all along was that DHHL didn't want the deal proposed, tax credits or not. The tax credits would have sat there unused just like the $75 million dollar fish tank that didn't happen.

SORT's position was that if Oakland wanted to build a privately owned facility, then he should do it with private money.

Wrong. SORT's position was basically to have the old park owners fail with or without a dirt oval.

Private money is what it would have taken to use the tax bill in the first place.

How come Punishum hasn't responsed to the complaint on this thread?

As a matter of fact Mr. Speed I did respond to that BOGUS complaint with the BBB. You should get your reading glasses prescription upgraded. As a backer told me, You morons don't have the limelight and are always trying to get a response from me. Does it make you feel important?

You guys lose everytime and all you can say is that "He's a Kaka, shi shi popo head." as your response and defense.

But what I found interesting is all the documentation that we also uncovered in regards to HRP. You should watch the upcoming episode of PunishUM October 21. I know you will find it riveting as facts and words from Campbell that said "We never asked the tenant to leave.", people sayin they never had anything to do with the sale BUT they had everything to do with the sale, campaign contributions from developers and new land owners to committee chairs. Really interesting. Also now that I am back in the news BIZ part time I think every station will find this VERY interesting as well. Especially since I did all the homework already and I will send them a script and they ALL can pick and choose what they themselves will want to use. :D " . . and the truth shall set ye FREE."

So much information that we can make a whole infomercial on this subject. Now that's a thought ;)

Also you should have seen Denby Fawcetts story online. She got the interview with the LG as by the time Olena and Reid her cameraman from KHON showed up, the LG, "Just Left." The PSA will be on ALL the stations in the next month.

Or as always you only see what you want to see and spin it till its Milkshake.

Hmmmm, all these community oriented projects that Punish'UM has ALWAYS been involved with and "NONE" of "ANY" of the
track quote, unquote "MANAGERS" / Operators never did. "Of much is given, much is expected." Then again I never expect Christ like actions from those who always put themselves first and to just line their pockets with stolen gold from the Blood and Sweat of others.

A longtime Drag Racer told me how impressed he was with our organization and how MY Group should have ALWAYS run the track. And they are not the only ones.

So why don't you crawl back under that rock you just slithered out of. And remember "Never cast stones when you live in an ALL Glass house."

What was it that you were quoted as saying before,"Why be a politician when you can own one." Wasn't that something you had said over and over?

Skeletons abound huh

Aside from support on one side of the street you think you may have, the other side of the street can override anything your side can pass. :D :p

So sad, you keep bringing a plastic fork to a knife fright to defend yourself.

But it amazes me how many people you could fool by coming with a cheap folder with papers and a dumb look to the dance.

So Old man, You should go back and read your chess book. I am tired of beating you everytime :p

From your post I assume you think I'm Michael Oakland. I am in my late 30's. I'll refrain from the off topic remarks. I am only interested in a race track, not why it closed. Looking forward to your response to the complaint whether it is bogus or not.

Can you post both sides here so we can read it? Link?

"I am only interested in a race track, not why it closed."

"Why it closed" is important, because it goes to the motivation of some of the people involved in this mess. Are they really trying to build a racetrack? Or is their real motivation acquiring and selling real estate for profit? Credibility is an issue that needs to be addressed.

i tried watching your show once, but the production quality is so shitty i ended up just switching over to one of the infomercials (that seems to be all thats on at the time of your show. definitely a great time slot. limelight? hah!).

maybe try to keep all the volume levels the same and drop the lower tones from the vocal tracks. ever heard of an equalizer?

You already posted proof of the intent to develop a raceway park on Parcel 9. The tax bills and the communication with DHHL for a land swap.

There is motivation from the closure. No doubt about that.
