Aloha All Sean-O here,
Here's the latest update on the event. We are currently working to get the date changed from Nov. 17th & 18th to late January for a number of reasons. first the existing date is too close to too many mainland events to allow guys to come over to compete. the Baja 1000 is the same week as the event meaning guys like Rhyse Millen and Tanner Foust would have to hop a plane Friday night to compete on Saturday.... not gona happen. all the drivers I know personally are getting ready for D-1 GP Formula D or the SEMA show. Leaving Verena Mei as the only one to make it.... Then the fires in California put a stop to that most of the cars are in areas being affect by the evacuations and no one would be able to make the shipping deadline. Therefore the decision was made to change the date to late Jan to allow time for more drivers to make the event. This also buys us guys here at home to get more done on our rides. Then we can really show these guys what Hawaii boys can do.
As soon as we get the dates secured we will let everyone know. Sorry bout the delay but moving the date should make for a better event for everyone. It will be at least a week and a half before we get date confirmation so please be patient.
