Happy Halloween!

Anyone want to hear a scary story?

Once upon a time in Aiea, there lived one booty-full princess named Princess Tracy. Princess Tracy was the princess of the Stadium drifting, drifting's last stand in Hawaii. But the princess pissed off the wrong people and now we only have one more event!

And for our last event many of us drivers pre-paid for our 5 minutes of track time. Now the event is being pushed back and pushed back and no one is talking.

Well a little bird told me something today.... Something happened to the money to rent the stadium. Oops! Guess princess should'nt have bought that nice new camera. O well, the drifters will understand. Or will they?

And they all lived pissed-off ever after.

THE END!

Hahaha, that sounds like another "bullshit" story from "someone" that's just jealous for whatever reason.

I personally went to the meetings at the Stadium to lobby FOR drift events there, and also to the meetings when Tracy paid to reserve the dates. He had to pay IN ADVANCE for all the dates and double for the DEPOSIT to pay for things like drifters knocking down fences, etc.

If you all recall, the original 3 "XD-1" events also had to be rescheduled because of conflicts. Tracy didn't start the fires in San Diego that required 36,000 people to be evacuated. That's where Pasha docks the transport ship.
Whether or not the drifting can continue at the Stadium hinges on the success of this last event. If Tracy only did a local event, then it would pretty much be the last one. The Stadium keeps $5 for parking per vehicle and also makes money on the concessions (Centerplate). They want large numbers of spectators (= big money). In order to get the spectators out we need pro cars and drivers. Having local drivers competing with pro drivers from the Mainland and Japan is something I would think most aspiring drifters would be excited about.

These drift events have not just been about Tracy, but Sean & Terry, Mike, and all the other course marshals and volunteers, and all the drifters and fans that have showed up to compete and watch. It's a lot of hard work, but at the end of the day it was fun and worth it.

As far as pissing off the "wrong" people, I also went to both community meetings to get yelled at by the Crosspoint residents. I think they were mainly complaining about the night time events (which is why we need to knock off early), because there hasn't been ANY complaints about the last 2 PunishUM drift events from the surrounding community. :D

Edit: Also, I have been working at the top levels with the efforts to reopen the track. It will be at least another year before any other drift venue is available. Everyone should work toward making the Stadium events successful, because that is all we will have for a long time.

what exactly is a big number of spectators? if you look at the last show that was put on, it wasnt very successful. they have gotten the spectators out there, BUT they didnt go home happy. $20 PER spectator??? i hope this changes. im just putting my thoughts and summing up what i have heard from the others in the motorsports community

I would estimate the price would be in that range, which is still less than mainland events. As far as the spectators not going home happy, I'm not so sure about that. No one asked for their money back (which can happen at a sporting event) and there were more people there Saturday night than Friday night (twice as many?), plus they stayed till the end of the event.

5,000 would be a good number, but still that's small compared to the 50,000 that show up for the Pro Bowl.

THE END!

This Libelous statment will result in a lawsuit. This statment you made is not only false but defaming.

That is against the law.

FACT "1" ) First off before any event could be held at the stadium a hefty deposit to "COVER ALL the EVENTS" was required. Not piece meal BUT required ALL Up front. The deposit covering ALL the events was made in July.

Racers fees are used to HELP cover things like insurance and barriers that are required for safety. Tangibles that are paid for to INSURE that the events take place for the drivers.

Event is being RESCHEDULED to accomodate the drivers from the US and Japan and the reschedule MUST be reapproved by the Stadium Authorities Board. Then new arrangments must be made with sponsors like PASHA for the shipping. And other local sponsors that have ties to these international drivers and their corporate sponsors ranging from tires to energy drinks.

FACT "2" ) As for the statment on a new camera, that camera we have was "SPONSORED" by Sony 3 years ago.
And all of our on board cameras have been in development for OVER 2 Years and the actual camera units are SPONSORED by Viosport 3 years ago.

The crane we have was designed BY ME and BUILT by Steve "O" last year.

And as for pissing of "The Wrong People" you should know your facts. The only people that are pissed off are our leaders at people who are trying to again make a comeback with a tax credit in 2008 that already crashed and burned 3 times and a very humiliating final feebile attempt in 2006 to help out a nonexistent track on a parcel "9" that will never happen.
Not in this Lifetime or the next.

Let me remind you of the falsified claims that others made in the past that lead to attorneys and lawsuits that had a mysterious crash on another site. Remember?

Why don't you show the proof for these claims other than "A Little Bird," told you so? Like I always said "Internet Thugs" hiding behind your computers.

The same attorneys that Uncle Franklin used when someone falsely accused him of threatening a gimp will be handling this case and all others involved, this firm is very familiar with the tactics being employed here.

well, I don't really care as long as I get to slide. I paid in advance and have complied with all the rules and regulations that were required for the drivers. The fact that the event was pushed back actually helped a friend out and also gave me less to worry about.

I graduate in December so the fact that this event is being pushed back gives me less to worry about as far as not having enough time to study and complete my projects for my graduation requirements which are all due in november. The problem now is when will the event be held? I'm leaving on a trip as a graduation gift to myself and I don't get back till january 6th. If I don't make it back on time my next worry would be the possibility of a refund. I'd rather slide than get a refund tho...

The rest is for you guys to worry about.

I can tell you it won't be early in the month of January. That is reserved for Tokyo Auto Salon.

The stadium authority will meet at the end of November to address the change of date and our agent is dealing with the drivers this week at SEMA.

We will only make announcments when we know for sure what is going on.

If you have noticed others like to start rumors and it is just the handful of deviants that like to stir up trouble and they aren't even a part of the series just outsiders propping up fallen regimes.

Charlie didn't get much USO. He was dug in too deep or moving too fast. His idea of great R&R was cold rice and a little rat meat. He had only two ways home: death, or victory.

Wow bought a new nice camera, damn. I don't care who your sponsor is, unless your sucking Sony CEO or Presidents dick you don't get camera's for free. Those camera's are $50,000 and up. Then again on second thought how could princess Tracy bought a new camera with drifters deposits, thats not enough... aren't their investors..but i think they left? Sponsor means discount in the corporate world of trade. And that weird crane looking thing they have, that looks pretty darn expensive. Don't get me wrong its cool and all, i seen it on their tv show but from what punishum said thats bullshit i think they built it with a instruction manual but it had to have been purchased from a company... What are the nielsen ratings for Punishum show's anyway.. i asked people if they heard of the show and they are dumbfounded.

Are US Proffesional drifters really coming down? I find that hard to believe, just paying to come down, getting their beast of pro-drift car to come down damn.... son!

My question is how could Tracy have used the drifters deposits to pay for the camera and crane when he obviously already had that equipment (and the on-board cameras) for the XD-1 "'media day" back in December of 2006? That was before any drifters had signed up for any events or made any deposits.

"sliderman" is obviously making things up to try and sabotage Tracy's event. No one is anonymous on the internet BTW.

Hey, I heard a rumor that a group from Honolulu is trying to hold drift events on Maui.

You thought it was politically difficult here on Oahu?

Let me give you a little history lesson. My dads whole side of the family is from Maui and rooted in the politics there. As a matter of fact I am related to the Mayor and half of the city council. My aunt is a former state senator from Maui and my uncle runs the Democratic party there. Ohhh and my 2 cousins? Are upper management on the islands only and largest media source.

As always, you pissed off the wrong person. It seems you have a penchant for that.

Good luck.

Tell us the one about the "former" drift promoter without a venue.

I guess that's more of a sad story. :(
