The HRP rezoning Bill passed with a vote of 8 to 1.
This article (and video) pretty much explains where we're at with the racetrack issue vvv

I'm just amazed at the lack of support from all of you so called "racers" You guy's better wake up and realize that other than HRP, there is nowhere else to have a racetrack. And if you hear anything different, it most likely is bullshit. And if I'm wrong, show me some proof.

Post up when and where the support is needed and I'm sure most of the racers will show up!

Well, ever since Dirt Racer started posting dates and times of City Council hearings to give testimony (or just show up to support in numbers) there is no more than 10 people/racers show up. This has been going on for almost 2 yrs. If we had ALOT of money, I'm pretty sure we could have televised some commercials to gather support. The bottom line is we all work full time jobs and we HAVE TO make time to fight for what we believe in; everything else is just a lame excuse.

There were many racers that attended the first meetings. Now you say there is only 10 that show support. What does that tell you about the way you govern and represent your organization?

For one thing the meetings were held at night when everyone was off work. Not many people can take off work in the middle of the day to attend a hearing, which also includes getting stuck in rush hour traffic.
It seems to me that Mr. Oakland had many hundreds of supporters at the Capitol rally in 2005. All he has left now is a handful of trolls on FH. What does that tell you?

It tells me that the unemployment rate went down.

A lame excuse is when you want the property developed into a business park because you're in line for 10% of the profit.
How's the market out there anyway? I saw a lot of "For Sale" signs at the Spectrum Park. Seems I remember realtors saying they sold all the units 2 years ago. Guess they were lying? I suspect it would take Irongate 50 years to sell all those lots.
