You pissed off a lot of SORT guys with that comment. But seriously knowing guys like Capps where he is friends with a lot of other racers like Tony Stewart, Steve Kinser etc. Because Capps does dirt too, these other racers from other disciplines invite him to drive their cars, Sprints, NASCAR, etc and he goes. He in turn tells them if they ever want to drive his funny car he'll let them. And every single driver responds " F#$K NO ! !" So it goes to show you even these other drivers know that FUEL is some serious shit and to be respected. Look what happened to Medlen and Darrell Russell.

Fighter pilots are the only ones who come close. But they have an EJECT button. Fuel cars you gotta deal the hand that has been dealt to you and if you can't handle. Lights out ! !

I got the DVDs from this year's Chili Bowl Nationals. The Chili Bowl is one of the biggest midget car races anywhere. 5 nights, 260+ racers. Drivers from everywhere including a few NHRA drivers who came out to run IN CIRCLES, ON THE DIRT!!!

Dirt also has a copy of them too.

I like all kinds of racing but Only Do 1 which is dragging baby,,,, :eek: Buttttttttttttttt I have been offered to drive a Bomber with the paradise Lua gang,,,, &&&&&&&&& I am gonna go for it when that track gets built...(notice I said :WHEN") I am just trying to be positive,,, I bet it will be funnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn... Going in circles,,, Hope I dont get dizzy,,, :D

Capps king of the 'Ring


Funny Car points leader Ron Capps proved the best NHRA pro at piloting Thunder Roadsters Saturday night at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Four NHRA stars -- Capps, Gary Scelzi, Tommy Johnson Jr., and Cruz Pedregon -- ran an eight-lap celebrity shootout around the three-eighths mile paved oval during a night packed with local racing. Capps started third in the pack but managed to work his way to the front and take the win before an appreciative crowd of crossover race fans.


The race started with Pedregon on the pole. He led for two laps before spinning out by himself, something he'd done a couple of times in warm-ups. Scelzi then took over and briefly held off a hard-charging Capps before his Don Schumacher Racing teammate finally got a nose underneath him and made the pass. It was all Capps from that point as he took the checkers with room to spare. The final order was Capps, Johnson, Scelzi, and Pedregon.


After the race, during a local ritual where kids are encouraged to dance to wacky music on the public address system, Scelzi and Capps won over the crowd by joining the youngsters along the fence line.


"It was a lot of fun," Capps said. "The best part was Cruz talking all the smack before the race and then spinning out once it started. We're not going to let him live that one down ever. The cars were really cool and the fans seemed to like what we were doing so that made it fun. I love to race so I was in heaven."

One thing is FOR SURE. Everyone will appreciate having a track now that we've been without one for so long. :(
