Great article. Professional auto racing is the only one where you will "NEVER" see one of their heroes like Gordon, Kinser, Stewart, Capps, etc., etc., etc., Get busted for DUI, spousal abuse,taking steroids, failing mandatory drug tests, with the exception of one of the Bush brothers where in stick and ball games it is the accepted norm. You name it and the stick and ball gamers have done it or broke the law in regards to it. What role models are they? Not very good ones.

And these autograph seekers are treated with respect in auto racing. I had seen first hand a grown football player during the Pro Bowl when I worked as a news cameraman tell a 5 year old boy," No, my autograph is to valuable."
