Here is a HISTORY Lesson. The feedlot was the CENTRAL controversy WAY back from Squid Waters time. FEDERAL Investigation, AGAIN, "THE FEDS" uncovered that ILLEGAL Airport funds was used for a Sweet Heart Deal for a NON-Bid awarding to Your Pals.

The FEEDLOT, here are THE 3 BIG Reasons why it will "NEVER / EVER" Happen.

Number 1 ) And the MAIN Reason. That parcel has already been set aside to be transferred over to OHA.
OHA already has plans to use that property for a "SOLAR FARM". Legislation was done this past 2008 session and will come up again in 2009. Public informational meetings or the lack of was the reason for shelving.

Number 2 ) It was called a FEEDLOT for a reason. Environmental clean up and a EIS has yet to be done. Whose gonna pay for the EIS? Definitely not the state? The EIS is at least 6 figures before you EVEN get to the things that will cost "MILLIONS" like permits, asphalt, bleachers, restrooms, etc., etc., etc. The COW Shit as you know turns to methane which is CONSIDERED HAZARDOUS WASTE under FEDERAL and State GUIDELINES. Which STILL HAS YET TO BE CLEANED UP ! ! ! !

And Thirdly ( That means NUMBER "3" ) The property sits in the 100 year FLOOD Zone. It is right in the MIDDLE of the SWAIL Zone. You will "NEVER" Get Property Insurance for such a HIGH Risk location.

Politicians "DO NOT" care about racers petitions because the racers are not ORGANIZED like the unions which help to mobilize and elect them into office.

P 24 has a better chance than the FEEDLOT. Get REAL :mad: :mad: Quit wasting EVERYONES time "AGAIN".

ok got passed #1 and that was a doozy. on to #2, i get one brand new box of crayons and da place neva smell like sh*t to me, too much... smelled more like guts and ASS. :eek: all i can say is, thank goodness for kona winds and da field mice and cockaroaches.

as for #3 i'm tinking, dakine, centennial drag boat and wet t-shirt contests. da schedule subject to change without notice kine. :D haha

Well Number "1" has now changed into a Highest Bidder deal.

In this depressed economy gov't agencies think that they can raise money by getting MORE warehouse spaces developed on "THEIR" VACANT property. Especially when there is a GLUT already and more warehouse spaces forthcoming.

As for that solar farm it is NOW going up on another gov't parcel near HRP. Dust from the desert plains and dry arid conditions that will actual cause DUST that will land on the panels will now then be BLAMED on any racing activity within the area. The respected agency will then charge who ever is building a track or racing activities as quote "Maintenance FEES" as penalties for the solar farm.

Pay ATTENTION, GOVERNMENT DOES NOT WANT RACING, EVER :mad:

yeah.. those solar farms, i'm not so sure about how they are doing it. if i understand it correctly, it will actually cost us more for electricity. that just sounds so stupid. what doesn't sound stupid is making the solar farm put a screen or misting system for dust at their own expense. those panels have to be cleaned periodically anyway.

the government likes different kind of racing.. race to space, race for technology, race for energy, race to bomb foreign countries... and race to save the earth and humanity all at the same time. that's what happens when you get book worms and tree huggers on the same page.
