Team PunishUM's first blog entry is on Hawaii born Todd Okuhara who is one of the most respected crew chiefs of Nitro drag machines in the WORLD. Todd has been the assistant crew chief for future hall of fame driver Ron Capps and has been instrumental for many event wins for drivers like Larry Dixon and Gary Scelzi who are both future Hall of Famers. As crew chief Todd helped rookie sensation Jack Beckman get his first national event win. At the 2006 World Finals Todd tuned "Fast" Jack to a world record setting run for both ET at 4.662 seconds and speed at 333.66 miles per hour. A record for speed which still stands till today.
Todd's quiet demeanor hides a burning desire to win at the highest level of the sport. In this exclusive interview we talk to him about the highs and lows of his career as he now has a new role for 2009.
