The event will present more than 140 custom, classic and modified vehicles, exhibiting the passion of our island's motorsport and automotive enthusiasts. The event will showcase everything from racing to off-road to strip and street vehicles and will include cars, trucks, bikes and more. The vehicles will be parked on the Boat Days Promenade in front of Aloha Tower, throughout the Marketplace, and at Pier 11 overlooking the water.
This show is promoted as a family-friendly event with a wide variety of free entertainment activities including R/C exhibitions, keiki bouncers, face-painting, carnival games, video game tournaments, as well as live music from The Gregg Hammer Band.
This annual show is promoted by the Oahu Motorsports Advisory Council (OMAC) in order to garner support for building a new motorsports facility on Oahu. The primary focus of this year's show is the work-in-progress Kalaeloa Raceway Park being developed by Save Oahu's Race Tracks, LLC (SORT). OMAC Chairman Michael Kitchens stresses the need for a safe and legal venue to continue youth education and the pursuit of automotive passions.
"SORT and OMAC have worked tirelessly for the past few years to find a new home for our automotive passions, and a place to have fun in a safe and educational environment mutual goals since we both started," said Kitchens. "This show cements our continued efforts and allows the general public to have a free, fun-filled day while experiencing the best Oahu has to offer in the automotive world. OMAC and its sponsors invite everyone to come out and support the effort to Build the Track!"
In addition to title sponsor Road Runner High Speed Online, the show is also sponsored by Firestone Complete Auto Care, HawaiiTalks.Net and another anonymous sponsor.
