Today a rain delayed NASCAR Autism 400 experienced clouds of a different type. And hour into todays rescheduled race, clouds of sorrow is what came rolling in as Visionary Bill France JR passed away at 1pm eastern time. He carried the torch left to him by his father Bill France SR who was the founder of the sport and had taken NASCAR further than even his father could have ever imagined. Today NASCAR is the number one spectated sporting event of any kind in the US and comes a close second in all other areas to the countrys' top game, the NFL.
