Spreading the truth is one thing BUT malicious intent of defamation is another.

I was told this one time by probably the greatest drag racer to come out of Hawaii. He said, " BE careful of the toes you step on today because it may be connected to the ass you have to kiss tmrw."

And his son who is a famous drag racer said this, " Its gonna get UGLY."

But all this shall very soon pass. And many of the influential are very close to the light at the end of the tunnel.
As the blind shall not see.

Lot of people are walking on VERY thin ice and there is NOT enough life vests to go around.

By the way, when was the last time ANYBODY from MOMAC . . . their leaders, members, managers etc. actually had any type of contact be it by phone or physically with the DEVELOPER ?

Please let me know as I will relay that LIE over breakfast.

I guess that many are still upset that I was the one that got invited to lunch. Apparently Y'all never got that email ! ! !

One Last response to those who know who you are. You're watching I know you are;
"PROMISE that you will ONLY RACE on the track YOU GUYS BUILD ! ! !"

Are you able to post the names of the people you are trying to get this message to? Is this addressed to the OMAC representatives and all their supporters?

I dunno about you, but I especially like it when people I don't really care for go racing 'cause then I get to KICK THEIR ASS and rub it in. Unless you're scared :)

You all need to get involved in the real fight instead of fence sitting and backing proposals that fizzled a long time ago.

As a FORMER leader Kim and all the others, you needed to build a place for yourselves to be the representative of your club or group to be able to sit at the table when the smoke clears. Be a resource and asset. All I have witnessed is YOU ALL being a hinderance and liability to your cause.

The childrens story of the hen who wanted to make bread. No one wanted to help with anything but when the bread was all done, everyone wanted to partake of the bounty. At the hearings when Mr. Oakland was trying to get his tax credits, I admit seeing Kitchens and a few others BUT I have never seen all of you who are yelling the loudest there helping his cause. Only on the forums and ONLY AFTER the Tax credit died. Where were you all even back in 1993 when this all started w/ the BRAC etc. ?

Like I said above, when was the last time ANY of you had spoken to much less actually sat down, Face to Face or even just got an email with what all you P9 supporters refer to as "The Developer" ? ? ? When ? ? Tell me ? ?

Perhaps we should all focus our energy on building the track first. Then we will be able to see who is fastest. (Me :D )

I would rather to discuss this Face to Face with them. Because I know how emails and posts can be misconstrued. This isn't high school, we are all adults here and can handle things in the adult manner. Right?

Because all of these posts from THEM, they never told me to my face at the luncheon when we were
ALL present with "The Developer".

Everyone has different ways of supporting their 'cause' right? Just because you don't see someone at a certain event, doesn't mean they haven't supported in another way.

My response to this thread was only to say that no one should ban someone from a racetrack because they didn't support their "exact" cause. Everyone involved in SORT and in OMAC are going in the direction they believe will benefit racing in Hawaii. Each side has to have at least SOME respect for that.

True that Kim. You're right. But what the problem is, is that this division is causing confusion amongst the decision makers and dividing the racing community.

One project is progressing and will get ALL racers back up and running while another has been in neutral since 1993.

Even you yourself said it best, "All you want to do is get back to racing." Well start helping SORT's effort because that is the only thing that is going to happen.

The statement above is like I said to the chicken story, it is all about "SWEAT Equity" ! ! You think that it is fair to fight and ridicule one project that is moving ahead and then expect be welcomed back with open arms and their would be no hard feelings?

For many of us this has been a "FULL TIME" undertaking, many of us this racetrack deal IS our 9 to 5. So to have that much animosity, ridicule and NO respect for the efforts or to have casual BYSTANDERS honestly putting their "2 Cents" when they have NOT put in ANY SWEAT EQUITY ! ! Yeah, I have a MAJOR problem with that.

Because if BY some MIRACLE that P9 gets developed to become that WCF, I will NEVER, let me say that again NEVER go there, ever as a spectator or participant. You can count on that. I stopped going out to HRP as well a long time ago, I am a person of principles. And I expect ALL detractors to have that same HONOR.

Stick to your guns man. Go play in your own playground that you support. And if the one you are backing does not happen,
"Oh Well then It Sucks to Be you ! ! !"

AND everyone from the other side is ridiculing, going out of their way to send Anonymous emails to get others not reappointed to their posts or blocking efforts of others getting to utilize a venue for events and then to think it is OK to be welcomed back with NO hard feelings? At least I got the BALLS to let it be known when I send out FACTUAL Press Releases and NOT HIDE like the others with the protection of ANONYMOUS and sending it from Kinkos. I will forgive but never forget brother, let me tell you . . .

And again I am asking and no one is responding, when was the LAST TIME anybody from MOMAC been in any form of contact with "The Developer" ? ? ? Tell me ? ? ?

Handling things in an adult manner will depend entirely upon the adults and their attitudes. Please be concious of your posts and how they might reflect upon the SORT organization now that you are in support of each other.

Kim,

I for one cannot interpret this type of testimony as support in any way. It's "opposition". I wonder if all of HRRA members are against SORT's efforts to preserve Hawaii Raceway Park as well?

Since I'm lazy, could someone post the EXACT wording of resolution 07-162? I don't have it in front of me.

The stance of HRRA, is summed up in where Fred says "We may support acquiring the old Hawaii Raceway Park as a last resort, but we feel at this time other, more promising options are still available."

Trying for something better; if we can't get it, try to at least have somewhere to race. Why does it have to be "my way or the highway"? Can't we just all get along?????

In case you forgot, the MAJORITY of SORT members/supporters are dirt racers, drifters, you know, the type of racing that takes alot of balls. We already have a temp. place to play, we could've said screw everybodyelse, let them fend for their own, but thats not what was said in the beginning when SORT was formed. SORT said that they will have a place for everyone to play. If you look at it, getting back the old HRP will mainly benefit road racers and drag racers, you know, the ones that are grumbling. So if you have any slight evidence of brain matter in your head, you would be a idiot for going against what SORT is trying to do.

Actually Mud, the vast majority of "real" racers from the asphalt side support going back to the old HRP. 2 of the testifiers at the City Council hearing were SCCA (road racing) Board members for example.

sorry eve, sold my corvette earlier this year. and id have gladly "wagered" my $5k as an investment in aquiring your $5k, but appearently you didnt have enough "confidence" in your side to make that bet.
